Saturday Morning: Local Flavor and Community Markets

Start your Saturday in Columbus with a visit to one of the region's most celebrated winter traditions. The Worthington Farmers Market is in full swing today from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. To escape the January chill, the market is held indoors at The Shops at Worthington Place. Visitors can browse over 70 vendors offering fresh Ohio-grown produce, artisan cheeses, and handmade baked goods. It is an excellent opportunity to support local food producers and find unique culinary treats. For those closer to the downtown area, North Market is also hosting special pop-up vendors throughout the day, including Better Beverage and Raegan’s Dog Bakes.

Afternoon Culture: Broadway and Fine Arts

If you are looking for a matinee performance or a quiet stroll through a gallery, Columbus has several high-profile options today. The legendary musical Les Misérables continues its run at the historic Ohio Theatre, with a matinee performance at 2:00 PM. This sweeping epic of the French Revolution remains one of the most popular shows in the world and provides a spectacular theatrical experience in a majestic setting.

For art enthusiasts, today marks the final opportunity to view several seasonal exhibitions. The Arts Scholars Juried Exhibition 2026 at the Urban Arts Space and the Beeler Gallery Exhibitions both conclude their runs today. Additionally, the Columbus Museum of Art is currently hosting Artemisia Gentileschi: Naples to Beirut, offering a rare look at the works of one of the most celebrated baroque painters.

Evening Entertainment: Jazz, Comedy, and the Wonderball

The city truly comes alive tonight with a variety of performances. Highlighting the evening is Grammy-winning jazz pianist and singer Diana Krall, who takes the stage at the Palace Theatre at 8:00 PM. Her sophisticated style and sultry vocals are a perfect match for the elegant venue.

One of the city's most anticipated social events, the 12th annual Wonderball, also takes place tonight at the Columbus Museum of Art from 8:00 PM until midnight. This black-and-white gala celebrates the creative spirit of Columbus with live music, performance art, and unexpected creative experiences. Other evening highlights include:

  • Comedy: Damon Darling at the Funny Bone Comedy Club at 9:15 PM.
  • Live Music: Swingin’ N Shakin’ with Whirlybirds at Natalie’s Grandview at 5:00 PM (free admission).
  • Classical: The UCelli cello quartet performing at the Peggy R. McConnell Arts Center at 7:00 PM.
  • Tribute Acts: Smells Like Nirvana at The King of Clubs at 6:30 PM.

Whether you are in the mood for a world-class concert, a community market, or an immersive art party, Columbus offers a diverse array of activities to fill your Saturday.
