A pedestrian was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle late Sunday night on East Main Street on Columbus’ Far East Side. The crash occurred on East Main Street between Noe Bixby Road and the Interstate 270 interchange, an area that carries heavy commuter traffic and includes multiple driveways and access points tied to nearby retail and highway ramps.
Police said the vehicle involved was a Toyota Prius traveling westbound on East Main Street. Investigators reported that the pedestrian was walking in the roadway when the person was struck. The pedestrian was taken to a hospital in life-threatening condition.
